Wondering what Ford has in store for its small car lineup? Look no further than the Fiesta ST concept, which is making headlines left and right and looks poised for production. Introduced at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, the ST was designed as a smaller version of the upcoming Focus ST, a performance version of the popular 2012 Ford Focus.
The Fiesta ST is a natural extension of the over-achieving Fiesta, and features muscular and sporty exterior styling along with a high-performance powertrain found in high-end models. Under the hood lies a 1.6-liter Ecoboost engine which achieves nearly 180 horsepower and 177 Ib-ft. of torque. This results in a 0-60 MPH time of under 7 seconds with a top speed of approximately 136 MPH, a very impressive line for a vehicle of this size.
We’re eagerly awaiting the announcement for production of the ST, and we hope you’re as excited about it as we are. Watch the video below and stay tuned right here on our blog and Facebook page for all the latest news on new Ford models!

Ford has revealed the finalized paint scheme for its latest rally weapon, the new Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Championship car. The vehicle debuted at the Paris Motor Show back in September, but the exterior color theme has been hush hush until now.
Although similar to the paint scheme of the Focus WRC cars from last year, there are a few differences. Mainly, the bright green of former sponsor BP has been removed and the base color is white instead of blue. The overall point was to make the Fiesta look aggressive and clean, reports Motor Trend Magazine.
Hopefully, people appreciate it when it’s on the stages, that it will be eye-catching, and create an iconic image people will remember in the future. – Gerard Quinn, Motorsports Director for Ford Europe
The Fiesta RS WRC car is based on the Fiesta S2000 rally car, which has proven successful in global rally competition. Power comes from a turbocharged 1.6-liter I-4 based off Ford’s new EcoBoost 1.6-liter, and is channeled through an all-wheel-drive system. The Fiesta RS WRC will debut at Rally Sweden on February 10.
